The GHD IV is pretty awesome and fast, and makes my hair feel silky. Sometimes, I straighten my hair and then go back over a couple sections, which is annoying, but seems to work. I like the GHD because, by the end of the day, my hair is actually straighter and silkier, instead of frizzier. Whether or not that's worth $250 is your call. My hair is somewhere between fine and coarse, and usually more wavy than curly. I straighten my hair every day.

I truly love it & I also find it makes fabulous curls as well. I'd definitely recommend it if you can/are willing to afford it... Other flat irons can probably bring you near or at the results of the ghd, but just take more effort & time. Seriously, the only time I have to straighten the same section twice is if I take too big of a chunk of hair.

I am very pleased with my new ghd 1.75" flat iron. I am able to quickly straighten my hair and I don't have to make several passes over each section of hair to get it straight. Because of the width of the iron, it takes me no time at all to straighten my medium length hair. However, getting the bangs to look natural is a bit trickier with such a wide iron. The fixed temperature seems the perfect temperature for achieving great results. All in all, I think it is a great iron, much better than my previous one and I am glad that I purchased it.

it has just kept on working, and working Great!! My situation is opposite from Brittanys The girl that owns the shop I work in used mine and went right out and got her one. This is the best flat iron you can buy!! for all hair types and no snagging hair or pulling!! its Just Wonderful!! I can't say enough good about it!! Hope you all go out and get you one. You want beleive how freat your hair feels and and how shiney and good your hair looks!!! ENJOY YOUR GHD IRON!! You wonder why you ever bought any other one!!
