I have very coarse frizzy puffy hair. This flatiron can tame the beast, which I call my hair. I don't even blowdry it before hand, I let it airdry and then flatiron it. I bought this recently for hte holidays and i purchased my iron with the GHD rare set, but i believe it is the same flat iron, just with a different packaging.
When i first received it i did not think it would live up to all the hype that surrounded it, but to me it did. My hair straightened so much faster and so much easier than with my CHI! I also found that throughout the day, which can get pretty humid here in FL, my hair did not poof as much
