As with everyone else, I was skeptical about purchasing the ghd IV styler due to the cost. I've tried different flat irons to help me tame my thick, coarse, curly hair. I'm half-black half Filipino and I thought nothing would be able to help me get straight locks like when I go to the salon. The ghd proved me wrong. My hair is silky, shiny, and perfectly straight. Love it and worth every penny.

The ghd is used in salons world wide and worth every penny. Heats to max in less than 10 seconds and makes hair smooth and shiny no matter what you want to do. Easy to create curl or for pin straight styles. If done in proper sections will straighten the most coarse of hair without touch ups for days. If used with ghd hair products, or regular conditioning treatments, the heat styling creates even more shine and less stress to the hair.

'm black with shoulder length relaxed hair and I find that the mini styler allows me to get as close as possible to the roots and easy access to hair at the nape. A regular one inch flat iron cannot do that. Also, I love that the barrel has a rounded edge so there are no crease marks in the hair when styling hair in a straight sleek style. Also, I love that it does not make my hair smelled burned.
