I couldn't believe how fast this iron heated up when I first used it... it was literally within seconds. My hair is wavy and is pretty stubborn when it comes to both flattening and curling. I've only used it to flatten so far, but I like the idea of being able to use it for multiple styles. I have long hair, and it used to take me FOREVER to straighten my hair, but this tool does the trick pretty quickly. I consider this a pretty great splurge!

This is a great styler -- heats up very fast and works really well. You definitely need to use a good styling creme / heat protectant of some sort, but this is really a great tool. My hair is color-treated and very coarse, and after using the ghd styler, my hair looks more shiny and feels really smooth.

I have thick, fairly straight hair. When I use this flat iron, my hair stays pin straight even after taking a pony tail out. I also use it to curl my hair. I have never been able to keep curls in my hair (they would fall out immediately) but after using my GHD I can have curls all day long. And plus it take 1/4 of the time to do it!
